Description:

Indigo Signs is seeking an experienced Painter to join our custom sign manufacturing team. This role is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing metal and fabricated sign components to meet high-quality and durability standards. The ideal candidate has experience working with metal and other substrates, understands fabrication processes, and works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

In this role, you'll:

• Prepare metal and fabricated sign components for paint, including cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and priming
• Apply paints, coatings, and finishes using spray equipment and related tools
• Mix paints and coatings to required color and finish specifications
• Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and durability
• Read fabrication drawings and collaborate with fabrication and welding teams
• Maintain paint booth, tools, and equipment
• Follow all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations
• Assist with basic fabrication tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Meet production schedules and deadlines

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional painting experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Experience painting metal surfaces such as steel and aluminum
• Working knowledge of fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, and grinding
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings or work orders
• Familiarity with paint systems, primers, and finishes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
