Sales Project Manager Position Description

This position requires a successful, highly motivated, and result-oriented senior sales executive for the company.

The Sales Project Manager position is responsible for growing our business relationships and market position, developing relationships and driving revenue growth in the below strategic geography: St. Cloud, MN area

Goal

We expect our Sales Project Managers to generate over $600K in new contract bookings from the identified geographic and account base.

This position will also identify, lead and support the efforts required to ensure that the projects that are secured will deliver acceptable net results for both Indigo and the customer

Essential Functions

  • Oversee and take an active role in the following from a direct account management role:
  • Develop clear, specific, action-oriented account plans to develop national accounts
  • Develop customer presentations and participate in customer meetings
  • Consistently achieve targeted sales quota
  • Develop a project pipeline by meeting with prospects and clients to determine upcoming opportunities
  • Define prospects, schedule appointments, and close sales
  • Navigate multiple steps in the sales process with decision-makers, demonstrating the ability to influence high-level decision-makers
  • Travel to different markets/opportunities is required
  • Maintain and establish long-term, ongoing relationships
  • Create proposals, handle negotiation process, close sales
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments
  • Effectively position our product & service solutions against the competition
  • Accurately assess and analyze customer needs and identify solutions
  • Maintain accurate information and activity tracking in the Company’s marketing software
  • Other duties or special projects as requested

Compensation:

  • Year one target base salary plus commissions; paid on direct and collected billings. 
  • Expenses paid for all business-related travel including, but not limited to hotels, airfare, meals, and client entertainment.
